Rotary Club of Madison County
Rotary Club of Madison County, as part of its service to the community of Madison County, constructs ramps for individuals in the community who are unable to access their homes. Funds for the ramp program come from donations, grants, and fund raisers of the Club. The ramps are constructed on the basis of real need of the individuals. They also support Literacy programs for pre-school and elementary age children, as well as Special Olympics and many other efforts.
They are nearing construction of their 500th ramp.

The Sparrow's Nest
The Sparrow's Nest serves the Athens area at-risk youth and homeless population by providing resources, services, counseling and other programs (such as the Food Pantry and Clothes Closet). Through their youth and homeless programs, they seek to build relationships and provide the skills needed for our at-risk youth to overcome their unfortunate circumstances.

The YMCA's ability to fulfill its mission depends on the generous gifts and contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Membership and program fees alone do not cover all costs to support these vital community programs. A donation will subsidize YMCA program and membership fees for less-advantaged, local kids and families who are referred to by our county agencies, schools, parents, and others.

The Knights was formed to render aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families.
